Featured Musician: Kenya Baker Award-winning guitarist Kenya Baker grew up in Oakland. A multi-talented musician, composer and music producer, Kenya has two platinum albums. For four years, Kenya toured as lead guitarist for Joss Stone, the Grammy winning British singer/songwriter. He's performed for celebrities and dignitaries all over the world, including President Clinton and Prince William and Prince Harry. Now Kenya is back in the Bay Area with his own acoustic show. Featured Musician: Mike McCall My music is focused mostly around Spanish Guitar, Flamenco Guitar, Classical and fingerstyle guitar. Some of the music I perform is lively and upbeat, while other pieces are very mellow and beautiful. Featured Musician: Darrell Nelson A bay area native, Darrell was born at Oaknoll Naval Hospital and started playing drums in the 5th grade at Woodland Elementary School. His first professional band, Claude High and the Hightones, was the house band at the Condor in North Beach. Over the years, Darrell has evolved into a R&B singer with a pop and blues twist. A true Bay Area gem. |
